CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS- SHAMELESS ART SHOW- A NIGHT OF EROTIC ART & ENTERTAINMENT (18+)
Produced by: DD Brassiere, Knotyourpeach and Mistress Jan Artist
We would like to invite all Manitoban visual artists to submit up to 3 pieces of erotic/nude/provocative artwork for a brand-new art event. We are looking to showcase both established and new artists at this event.
GOAL
We are looking to showcase original erotic artwork at a one-night-only event, entitled “Shameless Art”. We hope to connect visual artists with new viewers and to celebrate the genre with a night of unconventional artwork, and sexy entertainment.
There will be beautiful rope suspension displays by Knotyourpeach, a painting demo of a semi-nude model by Mistress Jan Artist, and live music.
The idea is to bring together all of those people who love spicy artwork and those who create it.
ARTIST’S BRIEF
You are welcome to submit up to 3 pieces of artwork for consideration. Acceptance into the show will be based on:
- relevance to the subject matter,
- quality of the artwork,
- originality,
- the total amount of submissions received, and
- your willingness to sell the artwork (optional, but preferred)
This is a juried exhibition; submission to the show does not guarantee acceptance.
You do not need to sell your artwork at this event, but we would prefer to display pieces that potential collectors can take home with them at the end of the evening. We are not taking a commission or charging a fee for this inaugural event. You are responsible for completing your own sales.
If you require anonymity, we will do our best to accommodate it (i.e. not labelling work with your actual name or identifying you.) If you provide a pseudonym on the submission form, we will assume that is the name you wish to use for this event. You are still responsible for any sales and will have to provide a method for potential collectors to contact you.
SUBMISSIONS
Please submit all images online in JPEG or PDF format via the form.
If you have issues with the form please email us!
Deadline for submissions is November 1st.
Selected artists will be notified by November 10th.
If selected, we will require your artwork in hand on or before November 21st.
Artwork must be mounted, or framed in such a way that it can be hung securely on the wall or displayed on a small easel, without falling over.
For those who are accepted, you are encouraged to include some business cards/flyers to accompany your work during drop off. Each piece of artwork will be accompanied by a title and description, as well as a QR code to view the same information in a private gallery.
Artwork will also be featured in a private online gallery after the show, exclusive to patrons who wish to have a little extra time to decide on what artwork they may wish to own, with your contact information.
